Setting
up the Mac to access sportshorse.net is straightforward.
From
the 'Apple' menu select 'System Preferences'

This
will open the window below. Select the "Network"
Icon

This
window should now appear.
In
the 'show' box select your modem and then select the TCP/IP
Tab. In the Configure box select 'Using PPP'
In
the Domain Name Servers enter the numbers 80.225.252.178

with a password of guest if you haven't signed up yet) and enter
your password. Check the box to Save Password.
REMEMBER
that we use @smartEmail.co.uk and not @smartmail.co.uk so double
check your spelling.
Now
click 'PPP Options'

In
this window check the boxes to connect automatically and to disconnect
when user logs out. You can also set to redial when busy although
it is almost certain that you will never get a busy signal with
sportshorse.net.
Check
Send PP Echo packets and use TCP Header compression under Advanced
Options.

Now
click on the Tab labelled Proxies and make sure everything
is deselected.
Now
click on the Modem Tab

Select
your Modem from the list and enable Error Correction, Sound
and Tone Dialling. Also select Wait for Dial Tone before
dialing.
Finally
click Apply Now and close the Network window.
You
have now completed setting up OS X and when you open your Web
Browser, the Mac should automatically dial into sportshorse.net and connect.
